Christmas in October

i know i'm early but i was asked to create a Christmas tree for a silent auction in September.....i quickly said sure......this will be fun... and it was.... until ... i had to find a tree in October.... and purchase the ornaments and get to decorating.....well.....3 trees later.....gifted pine cones..several weeks of late nights trying to create a theme...Christmas begins in October in South Carolina....way before Halloween goes to 50% off......here you have my design...

the gifted pine cones from a friends yard...thanks Rodgers Boykin..

the spray paint that added a slight puple hue to the cones..

the tree being put together..and fluffed...its really about the fluffing process..

adding the cones, fluffed tree..and the pieces are coming together..

and the final tree...

here's hoping you enjoy the tree as much as i enjoyed the process of creating it..

  1. Great job, SIL! I love how colorful the tree is! You have inspired me to do a purple tree in the apartment.
