Has it really been this long...

LivingToDesign...is a blog that I intend to nurture this year...this blog life is for the truly talented! I know a few bloggers that are just that..truly talented...and I hope to one day be just like them...for now...I'll build this blog slow an steady until I get the hang of it...thank you for all the inspiration:

I ended 2012 by becoming "my favorite client." I choose the expensive fabric because I loved it and had to have it, which is my client motto. As a designer, I look for options within the budget however, you do come across those items you can't live without..in this case, it was fabric for my ottoman table.

With that small decision..I completely changed my from room. And or course my favorite chair..that's never used for sitting..

More to come...

I love being my own client!

Christmas continues thru November..

I know it's November however..I've been collecting/decorating/planning for Christmas since October! Which, in talking with the lovely ladies at Carolina Pottery, is LATE cause Christmas has been in full effect since AUGUST! Hence my dismay at the lack of red glittered Eucalyptus in the store..considering I bought several pieces the week before for a donated tree..

Either way...I've been knee deep in ribbon and bows and covered in glitter since October 30..here are a few pictures of all the projects...

Hope you love them..

The tree that started it all...the donated tree by Tiaa Rutherford Interiors (me)..

Mom's Christmas Wreath..this really has her in the spirit..EARLY!

Mom's tree...she LOVES it!

More to come...hold tight...I've been working on a project since early November that will I will blog about in December (after the photo shoot)!
Happy Thanksgiving!

Fall Front Porch

...I was recently asked to create a fall themed front porch in Chapin, SC for a dear friend, Cynthia Hardy of OnPoint. She fell in love with the rocking chairs at Cracker Barrel and had to have them. Hay and corn stalk were also must haves. I incorporated heirloom pumpkins, mums, and Indian corn as a part of the theme...my iphone night vision isnt the best..but here's my 1st picture for the blog..most posts on this project will be coming soon...I made the wreaths (a true blast) and I planted the pots you see...

hope you love it as much as I loved creating this fall themed front porch for the Hardy family...
